GRRRRR!

So angry. I HATE MR PICKLES. It's not even like he's done anything majorly wrong. Just that his head looks like an egg and he yelled at me today for "not making up my mind" and crossing the zebra crossing to go out of school only to come back across it and go back in again. It's not my fault that I forgot something. It's not like I'd choose to go back into school for no reason is it? IS IT PICKLES?! I think it's just men in general today to be honest. Good job seconds before I'd embarked upon lesbianismhood with Steffi (woo, men suck). I think it's just one of those days. Or weeks, I guess. But GRR anyway: GRRR!

My day has slightly brightened since I got in. My mate told me about a video from our cadet group being on Google Videos so I checked it out, and sure enough, there it was: Car Ambush. That just cheered me up no end! Poor old Schoey getting the shock of his life. I'd crap myself too if I woke up with rifles pointing in my face! Bored now. Need to fond something to do. Eat maybe. Yes, eat! Ciao!

Home from pensioner city

So, I want to get into a good Uni. A great one even. So they look for something besides a string of A's. Volunteer work perhaps?! So volunteer work it is! And where better than the Retirement Home right across from school? Where better indeed. If you haven't hand fed an old lady sandwiches before.. don't! Its vile! They dribble and stuff.. and then there's Rose who just sits there and demands Weetabix. Good luck Rose. Plus one lady gave me and companion a lecture on how you shouldn't be a Jehovah's Witness. Old people are so opinionated! But I finally got away, cause the whole time all I really wanted was to get my homework done (Loser!) and get in the bath with a book. (Loser again!) I can't wait for my first swapped book to arrive... It's gonna be great! Anyhoo.. onto matters more serious...

For the sexond day in a row now its stew for tea. I dont mind. I like stew. I could even stretch to say I love it. But I know at the moment that it's what I'm having tomorrow aswell, and that thought is just upsetting me. Stupid dad and his stupid "I'll make a big fat ass pot of the stuff and then we can live off it forever". It just doesn't work like that. I dont even care that tomorrow we're having it with garlic mash - and i LOVE garlic mash. It's not fair. What happened to a varied diet for heavens sake?!?! Anyway.. I'm going to munch my way through this slush and see if I turn into stew: testing out Gillian's "You are what you eat" theory you see...!

YOU CAN ACTUALLY SWAP BOOKS AND NOT PAY!

Ok, call me sad, but I just found Read It-Swap It. Its this amazing website where you can swap books with people and not actually pay for them.. Obviously you have to pay postage, other wise you would have to just throw it to the person, and that wouldn't work now would it!?
Well, anyway, I have 4 books on swappability already! And I really really really can't wait to get more. Such a little bargain hunter. And don't worry, I've had an L shape on my forehead while I typed this... Good luck swapping peoples of the UK!

Need to Rant!

Not done for the day.. just had a horrific incident with a virus... My good friend Ashleigh the Chav happened to send me a message and me, being the blonde I am, clicked on the link and BOOM...Bob's your Uncle, Fanny's your Aunt.. VIRUS CENTRAL. It kept taking over my MSN and sending millions of its own little "click me" messages to everyone on my list! What a little shit! And so now, having System Restored on the advice of my beautiful friend Alexio, im up and running, but being the arse I am I didnt save my essay before I restored, so I've got to do that whole paragraph AGAIN. Its just one of those days where you seriously doubt life. GRRRR! GRR GRR GRR and GRR some more. Wankness.

Celebrating the 90's.. (Much better than the Naughties!)

I personally, for I have the power, am going to make today 90's appreciation day. So, from now on, the 8th of the month (surely the 9th would have been more appropriate but I'm rebelling!) will be 90's Appreciation Day!!! Yay! So, here goes, the first ever monthly 90's Appreciation Day.. Lets do it!

Nostalgia is todays feeling! Got an email today that made me realise how crap life is at the moment. I mean, no Spice Girls, no B*Witched, no My Little Pony (and I mean the properly good old school stuff, where they rode on rainbows and stuff.. classic)!! What is the world coming to...!? Kids these days (listen to me sounding like a right old git, at the mere age of 16!!!) don't seem to do anything worth doing. I used to play in the park every day after school when I was in the good old junior school <-- check it out, it was GREAT! Kracken's Lair was the shit. I had playing out trainers - salute to the trainers, you could never wear your school trainers to play out in, god forbid they get a bit mucky (plus you used to stop your bike with your toes instead of the breaks, just because it was the "in thing", so they'd have holes in the ends)! Anyhoo... The nineties were great, and so back to my original point, I got this email this morning from my good friend Daniel, picking up the key points of being a "Child of the Nineties" -- you get these kids who were born in like 1995 who think they were children of the nineties... NOT TRUE. Here's the definitive checklist...

You know you're a 90's kid if...
You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"
You've worn skorts and felt stylish
You yearned to be part of the Baby-Sitters club
You use to love playing with your My Little Pet Shop
You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.
You wore a ponytail on the side of your head and had fluffed bangs
You remember reading "Goosebumps" -- and being scared shitless might I add...
You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off"
You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf
You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school (mine was pink and had Snow White on - with matching flask, obviously!)
You remember the craze then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.
You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) everysentence...Not...
You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.
You remember going to the skating hall (Dronfield Sports Centre, big up yourself!) before there were inline skates
You wore socks over leggings scrunched down
You remember boom boxes vs. cd players
You knew what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare"
You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool
You knew all the characters names and their life stories on"Saved By The Bell"
You played and or collected "Pogs" -- I had a shiny Taz Pog and it was THE BEST!
You used to pretend to be a MIGHTY MORPHIN Power Ranger
You owned a Skip It -- the ball fell off the end of mine :-(
You had at least one GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere (and your mum managed to kill it at least twice.. GRRR!)
You watched the ORIGINAL Care Bears, My Little Pony, and NinjaTurtles
You remember when the new Beanie Babies were always sold out (still got about 200 in the loft *ashamed*)
You used to wear those stick on earings, not only on your ears, but at the corners of your eyes.
You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
You thought it would be so cool to be Alex Mack.
You collected Pokemon cards, and watched the original show.
YOU KNOW THE MACARENA BY HEART!
"Talk to the hand" ... enough said
You thought Brain woud finally take over the world.
2 words ... SPICE GIRLS

So there you have it.. A step down memory lane.. I mean, seriously, you just don't get some of that quality anymore. Some things that were around have made brief comebacks - I've seen some kids playing with Pokemon cards recently, but not in the same manic OMG I MUST HAVE EVERY SINGLE ONE AROUND way... And the Beenie Babies things, jesus! Incidently does anyone want to buy about 200 of the bloody things? They're cluttering up my loft!

Then there were individual school crazes.. Like my school for instance: we went through this phase of bringing playing cards to school and playing with them on the floor at break.. A great game called Slam (obviously, in the trend of all school crazes it got banned...) Let me know of anything else you lot played.. specially in the USA.. We only really had the perception of individual lockers and groups of barbies from your side of la pond.

Just an "aside" to say yes, ellipses are my friends, and yes I will continue to overuse them! I can't help it, it's just the way of life. Oh, and I spelt Labyrinth wrong yesterday, sorry to Miss Mosse! --- OH and why name a book Labyrinth, people are just going to assume its something to do with the fab 80's film and buy it for that reason.. WHAT A CON

Anyway.. I'm done for the day.. Mother dearest is coming to pick me up and we're going to do lunch.. How much of a grown-up am I?!?
Toodles!

Lets get this party started....

First blog, lets go!
Scared I may be under-thinking what I write because I'm largely concentrating on the pizza and garlic bread I have in front of moi: its not that fab tasting to be honest, but its still better than actually thinking, so here goes.
Supposed to be writing an essay.. its not going well, so anyone who has views on this book called "Waterland" by this bloke called Graham Swift, then all comments welcome! haha.. or if anyone has a knack for essay writing and wants to write it for me.... ? Well, the invite stands anyway!

I'm a tad tired today.. Been up since 8.30 - and its a SATURDAY! but then again I went to bed at 8.30 PM last night.. omg barf what a loser! Oh well.. I'll get over it!

I'm trying to read this book that this guy Tom lent me. Its called "Labrynth" -- don't know if anyone's read it? Its a bit hard to get into, and the number of pages is a bit daunting. Plus, I suppose it doesnt help that I'm half way through Tess of the D'Ubervilles - Thomas Hardy, The Raider - Jude Deveraux (OMG WHAT A FAB AUTHOR but tbh this book is taking some getting into, not like those fab 16th century ones that you read over night) and Little Women - Louisa M. Allcott. But anyway, the book I'm TRYING to focus on is "Labrynth". It had all this hype over the summer and it's supposed to be gripping. 50 pages in, I'm not really feeling it. But we'll see.. I'm not likely to give in easily!!

I'll more than likely be back.. OMG X-FACTOR IS ON!
CIAO!
